Today, four Armenian Armed Forces soldiers died as a result of Azerbaijani military aggression in the north-eastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, per Shushan Stepanyan, Spokesperson for the Defense Ministry of Armenia on Facebook.

The Ministry of Defense shares the grief of the loss, offers condolences to the fallen soldiers’ family and friends.

Armenian Fallen Soldiers: Major Garush Hambardzumyan (Գարուշ Վեմիրի Համբարձումյան), Captain Sos Elbakyan (Սոս Քայլակի Էլբակյան), Junior Sergeant Smbat Gabrielyan (Սմբատ Գևորգի Գաբրիելյան), and Junior Sergeant Grisha Matevosyan, (Գրիշա Վահանի Մաթևոսյան)

The Azerbaijani side has confirmed over eleven deaths since the clashes started on Sunday afternoon. Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry said two senior officers, Maj. Gen. Polad Hashimov and Col. Ilgar Mirzayev, were killed in fighting Tuesday. Moreover, the Azeri State Agencies are known for hiding the actual casualty count and often underreport the deaths of their soldiers.
