The Lithuanian government is going to send a team of doctors to Armenia to join the local health professionals’ efforts in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The decision was made on Wednesday, June 10, Tigran Mkrtchyan, the Armenian ambassador to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, said on Facebook, citing the Lithuanian foreign minister.
In his public post, the diplomat thanked the Lithuanian authorities for the humanitarian support, describing the move as “very important and timely”.
He also promised to provide further details later.
