Today, the Republic of Armenia confirmed 121 new coronavirus cases and 4 new deaths, on Monday, May 4, taking the total number of cases to 2,507, per Armenia’s Ministry of Health.”¨-
Out of the 2,507 total cases, 1,071 people recovered (36 Today) and 39 patients with underlying health conditions died. The remaining 1,393 are active cases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health. To date, 24,942 negative coronavirus tests have been conducted in Armenia, added Nikoghosyan.

The 36th, 37th, 38th and 39th COVID-19 fatalities were a 71-year-old female, a 83-year-old male, a 66-year-old male, and a 79-year-old male, with all having pre-existing chronic diseases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health.

Today, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan announced that 3 recovered coronavirus patients in Armenia have tested positive again after a full making a full recovery from the disease. None of the three patients have any symptoms or complaints, but they were diagnosed with COVID-19 two weeks after being discharged from hospital. They are again quarantined in an effort to prevent the potential spread of the virus, Torosyan added.

Today, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan announced that a total of 63,000 citizens have returned to Armenia since March 1.
