Today, the Republic of Armenia confirmed 125 new coronavirus cases and 1 new death, on Saturday, May 2, taking the total number of cases to 2,273, per Armenia’s Ministry of Health.”¨-
Out of the 2,273 total cases, 1,010 people recovered (33 Today) and 33 patients with underlying health conditions died. The remaining 1,227 are active cases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health. To date, 23,142 negative coronavirus tests have been conducted in Armenia, added Nikoghosyan.

Today, Health Minister Torosyan announced that 454 patients are suffering from pneumonia, 63 of them are in severe condition, 28 ” in critical condition, while five patients are put on ventilators.

Armenia has extended the state of emergency in the country by May 14 and restricted the movement of citizens.
