The Republic of Armenia has confirmed 62 new coronavirus cases and its 22nd death, on Tuesday, April 21, total cases now stand at 1,401, per Armenia’s Ministry of Health.

Out of the 1,401 total cases, 609 people recovered (29 Today) and 24 patients with underlying health conditions died. The remaining 768 are active cases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health.

Today, the Republic of Armenia reported its 23rd and 24th fatalities from the coronavirus were 88-years-old and 65-years-old, they both had suffered from pre-existing medical conditions and chronic diseases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health.

To date, 13,929 negative coronavirus tests have been conducted in Armenia, added Nikoghosyan.

Armenia has extended the state of emergency in the country by May 14 and restricted the movement of citizens.
