On Sunday, April 5, at around 5:30 p.m., a 20-year-old soldier of the Artsakh Defense Army Arayik R. Shakhpazyan was wounded by Azerbaijani cross-border sniper fire near a military post located in the east.

The serviceman was immediately transferred to a military hospital, his condition was assessed and was deemed satisfactory. An investigation into the details of the incident are underway.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh calls on the adversary to refrain from taking provocative actions and announces that the Azerbaijani side will bear full responsibility of consequences in case of further escalation of the situation.
