Armenia Coronavirus Cases Increase By 52 To 882, To Reach 2,000 By April 14.

The Republic of Armenia has confirmed 52 new coronavirus cases, on Sunday, April 5, now standing at 882, per Armenia’s Ministry of Health.

Out of the 822 total cases, 57 people recovered and 7 patient with underlying health conditions died. The remaining 758 are active cases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health. To date, 3,844 negative coronavirus tests have been conducted in Armenia, added Nikoghosyan. 14 more patients have recovered from the coronavirus, bringing the total to 57 recoveries, added Torosyan.

Today, the Republic of Armenia conducted 419 coronavirus tests, 52 of which came back positive and 367 negative.

Today, Torosyan also announced that coronavirus cases in Armenia keep doubling every 7 days. “Now, assuming this rate is maintained, we will have about 1,000 cases on April 7 and 2,000 cases on April 14, and so on. And the task for all of us is to slow that pace so that we first level the number of new cases and recoveries, and then register less new cases than recoveries,” per Arsen Torosyan, Minister of Health.
