The Azerbaijani military announced on Tuesday that it claimed to have downed two Armenian UAV drones, per Anadolu Agency.

A statement by the Ministry of Defense said Azerbaijani forces shot down a drone conducting reconnaissance activity on their positions on the southern front lines near Agdam. Separately, another drone belonging to Armenia on an intelligence-collecting mission was downed in the northern Tovuz region.

The Armenian Defense Ministry denies Azerbaijan’s claims of shooting down 2 Armenian Drones. The Armenian military department assured that they would be the first to report on the destruction of their own drones, if this happens, of course. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has denied the reports of the Azerbaijani media about the destruction of drones of the Armenian Armed Forces.

Earlier, the Azeri agency “APA” reported that two tactical UAVs, which carried out reconnaissance flights over Azerbaijani positions located on the border, were allegedly destroyed. The press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense Shushan Stepanyan told Sputnik Armenia that all this is disinformation and lies. “We suggest you calm down. If there is such a case, we will be the first to inform you about it,” Stepanyan added.
