Kinodaran has begun filming a feature about the life of the singer Aram Asatryan, tracing his path from childhood through the price of his success to the decision to leave the homeland, with the premiere set for February 4, 2027.

The production company said the film will present the chapters of his life that are little known to the public. The creative team’s aim is to show audiences not only the artist they recognize, but the man living off the stage, with his worries, his sense of responsibility and the choices that turned his life.

The events unfold across different periods, taking in his childhood, the social difficulties his family faced, his musical path and the reality of Armenia in the 1990s. Leaving the homeland is one of the story’s central themes, a choice Kinodaran describes as one that thousands of Armenian families have stood before in different periods.

Through the personal story of a well-known musician, the film sets out to reach wider questions. What does it mean to leave your home, the surroundings you come from and the life you built over years? How far can a person go to secure a future for their family, and what price does success carry when the road to it means leaving the homeland behind?

Rafael Tadevosyan is producing the new Kinodaran project, with credits that include the series “The Saint,” “Summer of ’84,” “11,” “The Chess Player” and “Round.” Aram Shahbazyan is directing, known to audiences for “Don’t Be Afraid,” “The Saint 2,” “Chnchik” and “Moskvich, My Love,” and for the documentary “Map of Salvation,” which won awards at international film festivals. Kinodaran said further details about the cast, the course of filming and the premiere will be published in the period ahead.
