Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated Donald Trump on “impressive victory” in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
“Warmest congratulations to Donald Trump on your impressive victory as the 47th President of the United States. Mr. President-elect, I look forward to working with you to build up Armenia-U.S. strategic bilateral relations based on our shared values, priorities and interests,” said PM Pashinyan on X (formerly Twitter).
Pashinyan also sent a congratulatory message to Trump, it reads as follows:
“Honorable Mr. Trump,
I warmly congratulate you on being elected the 47th President of the United States of America.
I am sure that your rich experience, knowledge and abilities will serve in the best way to ensuring the well-being of the American people, to promoting the interests of the United States and strengthening the global role of the United States.
During the past years, the relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America, which are anchored on the historical friendship, common values and mutual interests of our countries, have recorded unprecedented progress. Of course, the American-Armenian community also has a role in that process.
I highly appreciate the effective cooperation between our countries in establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus based on the fundamental principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity, strengthening democratic institutions in Armenia, protecting human rights and ensuring the rule of law, fighting corruption, and preventing security threats.
The development of cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as the full use of the existing considerable potential have a special place in our multi-layered agenda. In this regard, I am happy to note the joint efforts aimed at promoting Armenia’s economic and energy resilience. I am sure that during your presidency, Armenia-US relations will be further strengthened, and we will continue to record new achievements, realizing our vision of reaching the level of strategic partnership.

I sincerely hope that there will be new opportunities for the relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America, especially in the case of the establishment of lasting and sustainable peace in the South Caucasus, the unblocking of regional economic and communication channels, regarding which the proposals of the Government of the Republic of Armenia are summarized in the “Crossroads of Peace” project.
