The Azerbaijani side has confirmed over eleven deaths since the clashes started on Sunday afternoon. Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry said two senior officers, Maj. Gen. Polad Hashimov and Col. Ilgar Mirzayev, were killed in fighting Tuesday. Moreover, the Azeri State Agencies are known for hiding the actual casualty count and often underreport the deaths of their soldiers.
