Today, the Republic of Armenia confirmed 351 new coronavirus cases and 1 new death, on Monday, May 18, taking the total number of cases to 4,823, per Armenia’s Ministry of Health.

Out of the 4,823 total cases (351 Today), 2,019 people recovered (94 Today) and 55 patients with underlying health conditions died. The remaining 2,718 are active cases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health. To date, 41,850 negative coronavirus tests have been conducted in Armenia, added Nikoghosyan.

The 61st COVID-19 fatality was a 84-year-old male, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health.

Today, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan announced that the coronavirus fatality rate in Armenia now stands at 1.3%. He also announced that more than 100 coronavirus patients are in grave or critical condition.
