Garo Paylan, the Armenian MP of the Turkish parliament, visited the ancient Armenian town of Ani.

“We visited Kars and Ani,” Paylan wrote on his Twitter page. “Despite all the efforts, Ani was sad…They have turned the river passing nearby the town into the Turkey-Armenia border. But it’s been closed for 26 years. The day of the restoration of the half-demolished bridge over the ravine will be a holiday for the town of Ani.”
