12-year-old Albert Armenakyan will represent Armenia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will take place on December 13 in Tbilisi, Georgia, under the slogan “United by Music,” the Armenian Public Television Company announced.
Albert was selected through a competition announced earlier by Public TV, which received more than 80 applications. Following the decision of an expert panel composed of leading local and international specialists, Albert Armenakyan was chosen as the best candidate.
Albert became widely recognized in September of this year after performing the cherished Armenian folk song “Dle Yaman” on The Voice Kids France 2025, where his emotional rendition brought French-Armenian judge Patrick Fiori to tears. The performance captivated millions and powerfully showcased Armenia’s rich musical heritage on an international stage.
Following the viral moment, Albert returned to perform a moving duet of “Dle Yaman” with his coach Patrick Fiori, further solidifying his place as one of the most promising young Armenian vocalists.
Albert has been singing since the age of six, turning music into his way of expressing what words alone cannot. Over the years, he has won competitions such as Big Stage, reached the finals of Armenia’s national selection for Junior Eurovision, and in 2024 released his first original song. Since 2018, he has been following Eurovision as a devoted fan, and for the past three years, he has been working diligently to make his dream of participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest come true.
The Armenian representative’s competition song and music video will be released soon.
The jury consisted of Davit Tserunyan, head of the Armenian Eurovision delegation; Anna Tadevosyan, creative producer of the Public Television Company; singers Aram MP3 and Zhako; director Artur Manukyan; songwriter Lilit Navasardyan; and songwriter and music producer Nick Egibyan. The opinions of a focus group composed of international experts were also taken into account.
