The American University of Armenia (AUA) congratulated Mikayel Avetisyan (MPSIA ’21) for winning third place in the Europe Group IV and moving to the upper Group III of the Davis Cup, the world’s largest annual international team competition, as part of the Armenian National Tennis Team.

In the second round of Davis Cup Europe Group IV in Skopje, the Armenia male tennis team outscored the Azerbaijanis 2-1.

During the first competition, Sedrak Khachatryan scored a confident victory over Elvin Hashimov 6-3, 6-0 (the tennis match lasted 1 hour and 36 minutes).

During the second competition, Mikayel Avetisyan was defeated by Tamerlan Azizov 5-7, 4-6 (the tennis match lasted 1 hour and 51 minutes).
