Armenian weightlifter Narek Grigoryan won three gold medals in the men’s 75kg category at the 2026 European U20 Weightlifting Championships in Durrës, Albania, reports Zartonk Sports. He took gold in the snatch, the clean and jerk, and the total, and set a new European junior record in the total.
Grigoryan lifted 146kg in the snatch and 176kg in the clean and jerk for a 322kg total, the record mark, finishing 11 kilograms clear of the field. Ukraine’s Maksym Berezhnyi took silver with 311kg and Andrii Sklez won bronze with 310kg.
A second Armenian in the category, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, finished fourth with a 299kg total.
