The Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR) will host its 21st Annual “Laughter for Life” Comedy Night this Sunday, December 14, at the world-famous Comedy Store in Hollywood. The annual fundraiser brings together prominent comedians and community members in support of ABMDR’s mission to assist patients battling life-threatening blood-related illnesses.
This year’s outstanding lineup includes Antic, Dane Cook, Kira Soltanovich, K-Von, Jonathan Kite, Tehran Von Ghasri, Erik Griffin, and Dustin Ybarra. The evening will be hosted by comedian Sam Tripoli, who has been involved with organizing the event since its inception. Audiences can look forward to an unforgettable night of laughter, entertainment, and charitable giving.
For more than two decades, the “Laughter for Life” Comedy Night has raised awareness and support for ABMDR’s work. The organization focuses on recruiting and tissue-typing bone marrow and stem cell donors and facilitating transplants for patients suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood disorders. ABMDR operates a state-of-the-art laboratory in Armenia and works with donors from the United States, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. To date, the registry has coordinated thousands of donor matches and continues to support patients worldwide.
“This event is a celebration of community, resilience, and the power we have to save lives together,” said ABMDR Board member and chair of the Comedy Night Committee Lara Yeretsian. “Every ticket purchased and every laugh shared contributes directly to our ability to help patients in need.”
Established in 1999, the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry is a nonprofit organization that assists Armenians and non-Armenians worldwide by recruiting and matching donors for bone marrow stem cell transplants. The registry has recruited more than 33,000 donors across over 44 countries on four continents, identified more than 9,000 patients, and facilitated 45 bone marrow transplants.
