On February 14, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan met with his Belgian, Italian, Swedish, and Luxembourg counterparts during the Munich Security Conference. The discussions focused on strengthening defense cooperation and addressing regional and international security issues.
Papikyan and Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Armenia-Belgium defense ties.
Papikyan also met with Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto. They discussed Armenia-Italy defense relations and key aspects of future cooperation.
During the conference, Papikyan met with Swedish Defense Minister PÃ¥l Jonson to explore the potential for enhancing Armenia-Sweden defense cooperation and regional security concerns.
Papikyan held a meeting with Luxembourg’s Defense Minister Yuriko Backes. They reviewed the progress of agreements from their June 2024 meeting and agreed to take practical steps to advance cooperation in the near future.
