Armenian-American producer Armen Zabounian, known professionally as Peyote Beats, has won a Grammy Award for his work on Doechii’s album “Alligator Bites Never Heal,” which took home Best Rap Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards”adding another milestone to his growing career, reports Zartonk Media.

Based in Los Angeles, Zabounian has collaborated with a star-studded lineup of artists across pop, R&B, and rap, including Tyga, Doechii, French Montana, Jhene Aiko, Pop Smoke, Trippie Redd, Roy Woods, Kalan.frfr, Mozzy, 6ix9ine, and more. His contributions to this award-winning album highlight Armenian talent on the global stage.

“Winning a Grammy is a dream come true, but representing my Armenian roots on this stage makes it even more special. Growing up, I never saw many Armenians in this space, so to be here now, contributing to music at the highest level, is something I take a lot of pride in. This is for the culture, for the community, and for everyone chasing their passion. I feel we as Armenians have so much to offer to the rest of the world as far as art so I hope this win can inspire fellow Armenians to make their mark in pop culture as well,” Zabounian told Zartonk Media.

“Used to dream about this when I lived in my studio in West Adams!! Best Rap Album for Doechii, which I had the honor to produce on. Shouts to Cheyenne Chaves and Devv at Top Dawg Entertainment for taking a chance with me in that meeting,” said Zabounian on social media.

A Woodbury University graduate with a BA in Business Marketing, Zabounian is now a music producer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. With roots in guitar and piano, his work delivers a unique instrumental sound that has set him apart in the industry.

With multiple chart-topping projects under his belt, Zabounian continues to prove that Armenian creatives are making waves in entertainment. His success reflects the growing impact of Armenian artists in the music world.
