Republican U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump published a statement strongly condemning the Biden-Harris administration for enabling the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh’s indigenous Armenians. Trump criticized Kamala Harris for her inaction as 120,000 Armenian Christians were persecuted and displaced. His statement was published on Truth Social.
In his statement, Trump emphasized his commitment to protecting persecuted Christians and vowed to restore peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan if elected as President.

“Kamala Harris did NOTHING as 120,000 Armenian Christians were horrifically persecuted and forcibly displaced in Artsakh. Christians around the World will not be safe if Kamala Harris is President of the United States.
When I am President, I will protect persecuted Christians, I will work to stop the violence and ethnic cleansing, and we will restore PEACE between Armenia and Azerbaijan.”
This statement comes one month after the Harris-Walz candidacy issued a pro-Armenian statement emphasizing the Armenians’ right to return to their native homeland of Artsakh. Despite the pro-Armenian statements from both candidates, the 44-Day War initiated by Azerbaijan occurred under the Trump administration and the subsequent blockade culminating in the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of Artsakh’s Armenians occurred under the Biden-Harris administration.
