The Armenian Investigative Committee has submitted criminal cases with indictments against approximately 600 individuals to court as part of the investigation into the circumstances of the 44-day war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in 2020, said Argishti Kyaramyan, Chairman of Armenia’s Investigative Committee.
“From the very beginning, we decided to separate the cases involving officers from those involving regular and contract personnel. The cases related to officers were handed over to the Department for Investigation of Especially Important Cases and the Main Military Investigation Department. The investigation has been progressing in seven different areas, and we already have results in all of them,” he said during a parliamentary hearing.
Kyaramyan also confirmed that, from his perspective, the investigation has reached final conclusions in all directions. He stated that cases with indictments for around 600 individuals have already been submitted to the court, with the investigation nearing completion for an additional 100 people.
