Armenia’s FC Noah is set to face some of Europe’s top football clubs in the 2024/25 UEFA Conference League, with English giants Chelsea being one of the most formidable opponents.
This matchup marks a historic moment for Armenian football as FC Noah becomes the first Armenian club to play at the legendary Stamford Bridge stadium in London.
Following the draw held in Monaco, Noah’s group-stage opponents were revealed. The Armenian Premier League runners-up will host APOEL (Cyprus), Mladá Boleslav (Czech Republic), and Vikingur Reykjavik (Iceland) at home. Meanwhile, they will travel to face Chelsea (England), Rapid Wien (Austria), and TSC BaÄka Topola (Serbia) in away games. The Chelsea vs. Noah match is particularly notable and is scheduled for October 3.
The new format of the UEFA Conference League this season means each team will play six different opponents, with three fixtures at home and three away. The top eight teams from the group stage will progress directly to the Round of 16. Teams that finish between 9th and 24th will compete in the knockout round play-offs, while those ranked 25th to 36th will be eliminated from European competition.
Match days for Noah’s group are scheduled across October, November, and December, offering the Armenian club a chance to make a significant impact on the European stage.
The draw presents both challenges and opportunities for Noah, especially with the highly anticipated clash against Chelsea, a fixture that will undoubtedly attract attention from football fans across Armenia and beyond.
