On Thursday, April 11, 2024, Holy Martyrs Ferrahian High School in Encino, California, transformed into a vibrant hub of career exploration during its annual Career Day, reports Zartonk Media.

Over 200 students from the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades attended the career day. This event brought together a wide array of professionals”all distinguished alumni”who shared their professional journeys and insights into various industries with eager students.

The wide range of career fields represented included law, digital media, entertainment marketing, engineering, real estate, quality control in pharmaceuticals, finance, architecture, medicine, and sports media. This diverse offering provided students with a comprehensive overview of potential career paths and the education required to pursue them.

The day began at 9:00 AM as alumni meticulously set up their informational booths, preparing to guide and inspire the next generation. Each professional then took the stage to introduce themselves, their career journey, and academic background, covering a broad spectrum of fields, including law, digital media, entertainment marketing, engineering, real estate, pharmaceutical quality control, finance, architecture, medicine, and sports media.

Students had the unique opportunity to interact one-on-one with the guest speakers at their booths, delving deeper into each profession, asking insightful questions, and gaining a clearer understanding of the various career paths available to them.

The esteemed list of guest speakers included:

  • Dr. Garni Barkhoudarian, Neurosurgeon, Diplomate, American Board of Neurological Surgery – Pacific Neuroscience Institute.
  • Dr. Gina Ostermann, Doctor of Medicine in private practice.
  • Dr. Sarmen Sarkissian, Doctor of Medicine, The Oncology Institute of Hope & Innovation.
  • Harout Keosian and Zareh Keosian, Attorneys and Founding Partners at Keosian Law LLP.
  • Karnig Dukmajian, Architect at Decca Development, Inc.

Following the interactive sessions, the school hosted a reception in the courtyard of Ferrahian’s new property as a gesture of appreciation for the alumni’s commitment to fostering a culture of curiosity and ambition among students.
