NewsArtsakhUruguay Ministry Of Defense: We Cannot Look The Other Way When The Armenian People In Artsakh Are Suffering From A Humanitarian Crisis

Uruguay’s Minister of Defense Javier García referred to the blockade of Nagorno Karabakh by Azerbaijan during the conference of Latin America and the Caribbean dedicated to UN peacekeeping operations in Buenos Aires.

“We cannot look the other way when the Armenian people in Artsakh are suffering from a humanitarian crisis, because of human rights violations after the closure of the Lachin Corridor,” he said.

He noted that it is impossible not to condemn the violations of human rights, the consequences of which are borne by the Armenian people.

“If this continent of peace, which unites us and which we accept, is indeed a continent with the title of leader, then it cannot but condemn the attacks on peace and human rights that have been carried out in Ukraine since the Russian invasion, as well as the violations of human rights , the consequences of which are borne by the Armenian people,” said Javier Garcia, according to the official website of the Ministry of Defense of Uruguay.
