The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has positively assessed the passage of the Russian Red Cross truck along the Aghdam road, describing it as “an important advance in the direction of opening that road”. This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
Baku also announced that it agrees to “simultaneous use of Aghdam and Lachin roads through ICRC”.
The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan states that the Azerbaijani is ready to create conditions “for the transportation of goods through the ICRC through the Lachin checkpoint, with compliance with border and customs procedures, parallel to the Aghdam road,” the statement says.
The mayor of Askeran, Hayk Shamiryan, said that the concerned citizens gathered near the “Tank” monument in order not allow the car to enter Artsakh, then came to an agreement, after which the truck of the Russian Federation Red Cross arrived in the capital Stepanakert accompanied by the police of Artsakh.
