On Friday, March 27, a Soldier of the Armenian Armed Forces was wounded by Azerbaijani provocative cross-border sniper fire on military positions located near the town of Noyemberyan in Armenia’s northeast, per Shushan Stepanyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

According to Stepanyan, the Azerbaijani forces stopped shooting after the Armenian side opened retaliatory fire. The situation on the border is calm at the moment, she said.

The soldier was wounded slightly, his is not in life-threatening condition, she added.
