Senate passage of Armenian Genocide Resolution, S.Res.150, is very likely in the coming weeks, Senator Ted Cruz told NBC’s Meet the Press.
–
“We are likely to finally acknowledge the horrific Armenian Genocide, which I have been fighting for years to do,” Sen. Cruz said.
–
S.Res.150 was introduced in April by Foreign Relations Committee Ranking Democrat Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and former presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).
–
Efforts by Senators Menendez and Cruz to pass the resolution via unanimous consent have been blocked thrice.
